Baseball Divisions and League Age

2026 Spring Baseball Divisions & League Age Assignments

Players are recommended not to register to move up MORE THAN ONE (1) division from the prior Spring season. For example, if your player played Single-A in Spring 2025, they should register for no higher than double-AA for Spring 2026. Reminder: All teams are formed via player draft, and a player may be drafted into ANY age-qualifying division. So, the division you play in may end up being different than the division you registered for.

SPRING SEASON ONLY:

All players League Age 7 and older must participate in Player Evaluations—unless excused by the Player Agent—in order to be eligible for the draft and to ensure fair placement based on skill level. Any player who does not attend Player Evaluations and is not excused will be blind-drafted into the lowest division their league age qualifies them for (e.g., a League Age 10 player would be blind-drafted into AA). The league also reserves the right to deem any player who does not participate in Player Evaluations as ineligible for All-Star selection. All players are drafted into divisions based on evaluations and eligibility — this may differ from the division selected during registration, as a player may be drafted into any division they qualify for based on their League Age.

The exact dates for Player Evaluations depend on receiving field permits from the city; however, evaluations are tentatively scheduled for January 12–24, 2026 (excluding January 18–19). All evaluations may occur on a single Saturday, or the schedule may be spread across multiple days. A makeup session will be offered for players who cannot attend their primary evaluation time.

A player who "played up" during the Fall is not guaranteed to be drafted in the higher division the following Spring season, as all players are drafted by managers based on the Spring player evaluations.

Little League International establishes the League Age rules. To confirm your player's league age for the Spring 2026 season use Little League's League Age Calculator or use the League age chart below.
