Our Opening Day Celebration is almost here, and we can't wait to bring our OCLL Community together. Opening Day is an all-day celebration of our players, teams, managers coaches, board members and all the volunteers that make our league a fantastic place for our players to learn and grow, and a time for our community to bond together.
Important Information and Schedule:
- Jumpers - Wristband Required - Jumpers will be open from 9am-3pm, including a group basketball game, slides, dance dome and jumpers dedicated for just younger kids.
- Team Pictures - will be scheduled throughout the day. Your manager will communicate your schedule and meeting time
- Banner Contest - Team Banners will be placed by division on the backstop fences of F3 and F2. Check out the creative banners. Contest winners will be announced during Opening Ceremonies - Winning teams will receive $100 to put towards their team party.
- Opening Ceremonies - 10:00am - Field 4 - We'll officially open our season, award raffle prizes, make presentations and introduce our 2023 Spring Teams
- T-Ball Shadow Games - 11:15am - 1:30PM - Fields 1, 2, 3, 4 - Our t-ball teams will kick-off our first games with teams assigned from the AAA, Major, Intermediate, Junior and Senior Divisions paired with T-ball teams to guide our youngest players through their first game. These games are chaotic, with a lot of players on the field, but a heck of a lot of fun. It is also awesome to see our older players connect with our t-ballers.
- FOOD Options - There will be several food vendors providing food and treats. Plus, our Snack Bar will be open All Day - in the morning we'll have donuts, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, coffee, hot chocolate. After that, we'll have Reggie Burgers, Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Nachos and of course ICE CREAM, along with sodas, Gatorade and candy!
- Vendors - Make a point of stopping by our Vendor booths. These are all local businesses that are joining our celebration, supporting OCLL, with only the expectation that you give them the opportunity to share information about their business or products you might be interested in.
Opening Day is the kick-off to celebrating our players, teams, families and community. It is also a reminder to make the season one long celebration of the hard work and growth of our players and the commitment of all the volunteers that support them. The more we pull together as a community to support OCLL the more rewarding the experiences will be for our players and families.
